Y Chromosome STR

General Information

Y Chromosome STRs Paternity DNA Testing involves the comparison of certain sequences of DNA pairs to determine the sharing of a common male lineage. The Y-chromosome is present only in males and reveals information on the strict paternal line.

Y Chromosome STRs Paternity DNA Testing is effectively used to establish paternity from samples from the paternal line. If the father of a child is to be determined and samples from the suspected biological father are not available, then paternal samples from the suspected father's father or grandfather can be utilized to establish paternity with pinpoint accuracy.

Y Chromosome STRs Paternity DNA Testing is most specifically useful for situations in which direct sample from a sustpected father cannot be ascertained. Y Chromosome STRs Paternity DNA Testing is the gold standard in determining paternity where a direct fathers sample is not obtainable.
